How to convert GLB to 3MF
- Drop your
.glb(or a.gltftogether with its.bin) above. - Check the size in the bar under the 3D view and untick anything you don't want to print.
- Keep 3MF selected and click Download 3MF.
What is converted
- Geometry of every mesh in the scene, with node positions, rotations and scales applied.
- Units and axes: glTF uses metres with Y up, 3MF millimetres with Z up — both are converted, so the model stands on the bed.
- Colours: each mesh part gets its material's base colour. Bambu Studio offers to map these colours to filaments.
- Clean meshes: duplicate vertices that glTF keeps for normals and textures are merged.
Limits
- Textures are not converted — parts use the material's base colour.
- Draco- or Meshopt-compressed files can't be read; export again without mesh compression.
- Animated or rigged models are taken in their rest pose.
- Game and scan models are not always closed (watertight). Slicers usually repair small gaps; very open meshes may need fixing in Blender first.
Frequently asked questions
My model is huge (or tiny) in the slicer.
glTF stores metres, so a 1.8 m character becomes 1800 mm. Scale it in your slicer — the true size is shown under the 3D view before you export.
Can I convert GLB to STL too?
Yes: drop the GLB on the converter and choose STL. STL keeps geometry only.
Does it read VRM avatars?
VRM files are GLB inside, so their meshes open too; textures are not converted.
Is my model uploaded?
No. It is read and converted in this browser tab.
