How to open an FBX file online
- Drop the
.fbxabove, or click Choose file. - Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, right-drag to pan; tick objects on and off in the list.
- Read the size (X × Y × Z) and the triangle count under the view, or export the model to another format.
What is shown
- All meshes with their node positions, rotations and scales applied; each top-level node is one object.
- Material base (diffuse) colours, including several materials on one mesh. Texture images are not displayed — the viewer is made for checking geometry and size.
- The real size: the file's unit setting is read, so a 1.8 m character made in centimetres shows as 1800 mm.
- Rigged characters in their bind (rest) pose. Animations, cameras and lights are ignored.
Need it in another format? See FBX to STL, FBX to OBJ and FBX to GLB.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open an FBX file without installing anything?
Yes. This page reads the file in your browser — no Blender, Maya, FBX Review or plug-in needed.
It says the FBX is too old.
Files saved as FBX 6 (2010 and earlier) cannot be read. Open the model in a 3D program and export it again as FBX 7.x (2011 or later), binary or ASCII.
Why is my model grey or single-coloured?
Its colours come from texture images, which this viewer doesn't show. Material colours set in the 3D program are shown.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The model is read and displayed on your computer only.
