How to convert 3MF to GLB
- Drop your
.3mffile above. - Choose GLB and click Download GLB.
- Open the file in Blender (File → Import → glTF 2.0), drag it into a web viewer, or add it to your game engine.
What the GLB contains
- A node per object and a child mesh per part, named as in the slicer.
- One PBR material per colour (matte, non-metallic), taken from filament or 3MF material colours.
- Metres and Y-up, as glTF requires: a 20 mm print becomes a 0.02 m object facing the right way.
GLB is a display format. To print, use STL or standard 3MF.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my model so small after converting to GLB?
glTF uses metres, 3MF uses millimetres. The converter scales by 0.001 so real-world size is right: a 100 mm part is 0.1 m. Scale it up in your scene if you need it bigger.
Is GLB the same as glTF?
GLB is glTF packed into one binary file. Every tool that reads glTF 2.0 reads GLB.
Are textures supported?
3MF files with texture maps are rare in 3D printing; this converter writes solid colours. Textures are not carried over yet.
