Steps
- Drop the
.3mffrom MakerWorld, Printables or Bambu Studio above. - Pick a plate if the project has several.
- Download 3MF for Orca-FlashForge, or STL with One file per object for FlashPrint, then import the files into your slicer.
Which format to pick
- Standard 3MF keeps objects, parts and colours in one file — good for Orca-FlashForge and other modern slicers.
- STL per object is the safest choice for older slicers. Colours are lost, so note which part gets which filament.
For multi-colour FlashForge printers, import the parts, then assign a filament slot to each colour in your slicer. Printer settings from the original project are not carried over.
Frequently asked questions
Can FlashPrint open Bambu Studio 3MF files?
Not reliably: Bambu projects use 3MF extensions and settings meant for Bambu printers. Converting to a standard 3MF or to STL gives FlashPrint plain geometry it can import.
Do I lose the colours?
Standard 3MF and OBJ keep part colours. STL does not store colour at all.
Is this an official FlashForge tool?
No, it is an independent converter that works in your browser.
